Shahrir, Tommy Thomas in settlement talks over malicious prosecution suit

The High Court on Monday (Sept 7) adjourned proceedings in the civil suit filed by Tan Sri Shahrir Samad against former Attorney General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas, former MACC Chief Commissioner Latheefa Koya, and two others, to facilitate settlement negotiations among the parties.

Judge Gan Techiong ordered the adjournment after Shahrir's counsel Datuk Firoz Hussein Ahmad Jamaluddin informed the court that his client and the defendants were discussing a possible resolution of the matter.
