Severe rain causes flooding in Albania

Emergency crews in Albania deployed boats on Thursday (Jan 8) to rescue victims of severe flooding after heavy rains caused the Viosa River to overflow.

Defence officials said the river rose over nine metres, flooding low-lying farms and villages.
