Semenyih’s new assemblyman thanks voters in post-victory walkabout

Barisan Nasional’s Zakaria Hanafi made his maiden walkabout on Sunday as the newly-minted Semenyih assemblyman thanked the voters for choosing him on the first morning after his victory.

Zakaria will be sworn in when the Selangor state assembly convenes on March 16th. He vowed to carry out his duty to bring the people’s voice to the parliament.

The Semenyih assemblyman secured 19,780 votes against Pakatan Harapan’s Muhammad Aiman Zainali with a majority of 1,914 votes.
