Safety checks on sale of power banks

Effective on Feb 1, only power banks and handphone batteries bearing Sirim and Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry safety labels will be allowed on store shelves. This is among the requirements under the new Safety Standards Compliance Guidelines for secondary batteries.
