During his visit to SMK Sanzac Sembulan in Kota Kinabalu to monitor the election process for the Sabah polls on Saturday, Election Commission chairman Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh said voter turnout was at 32% as of 11am.

He said the EC had so far received two reports of election offences, with one incident where political flags were placed within 55m of the polling centres and another being a small fire due to an electrical fan problem.

He also said a couple who are under quarantine for Covid-19 had been allowed to vote with special permission from the Health Department and with adherence to the SOP.
