The Works Ministry has requested sufficient allocation under Budget 2027 to cover the overall maintenance needs of federal roads nationwide.

Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the ministry required an allocation of between RM5bil and RM6bil to ensure that road quality and safety remained at an optimum level.
