Rise in 'buy now, pay later' accounts puts vulnerable consumers at risk

Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying told the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (July 21) that a total of 1.4 million "buy now, pay later" (BNPL) accounts had been registered by credit providers in just the first six months of 2025.
