Reviews done on 455 university programmes in 2026 says Zambry

Public universities reviewed 455 study programmes this year to ensure they keep pace with AI, technology and industry needs, says Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.

Speaking in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (Oct 8), Zambry said 11 public universities now offer 30 AI-related programmes, expected to produce 30,000 graduates by 2030, while the ministry aims to integrate AI elements into 80% of bachelor’s degree programmes.
