The High Court in Kuala Lumpur heard on Tuesday (Aug 11) that the US$620mil returned by former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was transferred directly back to Tanore Finance Corp, with his lawyer arguing that the swift return supported Najib’s claim that he believed the money was a political donation from the Saudi royal family.
