Residential Tenancy Act to be tabled next year

Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Abd Mutalib on Tuesday (Aug 25) said the Residential Tenancy Act is expected to be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat in 2021.

He said the Act, once passed, could serve as an intermediary between the parties involved, when responding to a question asked by Tanjong Malim MP Chang Lih Kang on the ministry’s efforts to ensure that home rental would be affordable to most people.
