Request from Bangladesh rejected to avoid Malaysia being a migrant workers ‘dumping ground’

After launching the National Action Plan on Forced Labour 2021-2025 in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan said he had turned down a request from Bangladesh to allow 2,000 of its recruitment agencies to send in workers to Malaysia as this would turn Malaysia into a “dumping ground” for migrant workers.
