Purported cops threaten and ask for bribes, claims wife of Sosma detainee

Kin of the men arrested under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act (Sosma) over alleged links to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam on Monday claimed that there were police intimidation during their sit-in about a month ago outside Bukit Aman where the men were arrested.

The wife of DAP's Gadek assemblyman G. Saminathan, V. Umah Devi, claimed that she received a call from a “police officer” requesting for a “meal” in exchange for her husband's freedom.
