Probe into fatal Ipoh accident involving cop will be thorough and transparent, says IGP

Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain has instructed that the investigation into an accident that killed a 17-year-old student in Meru, Ipoh on Friday (Dec 15), involving a senior police officer, be conducted transparently and thoroughly.

The senior police officer has been arrested and remanded in connection with the accident which happened on Jalan Taman Jati at 12.40pm.

The student died at the scene while the policeman was unharmed.
