Police arrest 58 call centre operators in online scam crackdown

Police arrested 58 individuals and busted an online scam syndicate operating through call centres in nine raids across Selangor over a week from Oct 20.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Shazeli Kahar said those arrested, aged between 20 and 50, allegedly worked as customer service operators involved in various online scams, including stock investment fraud, love scams and fake job offers.
