PM tables challenging Budget 2023 in Parliament, explains RM1.2tril debt

When tabling Budget 2023 at the Dewan Rakyat on Friday, Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the wastage and mismanagement of public funds in the previous administrations had put Malaysia in a challenging spot to deliver its services under the new budget.

He said the nation's debt is expected to hit RM1.2 trillion or above 60% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
