Malaysia's economy is losing RM2.4bil every day when businesses are suspended during the movement control order (MCO) period, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

During an interview with RTM and Astro Awani which was broadcast on Saturday night, the Prime Minister said that, however, the MCO was necessary to curb the spread of Covid-19 and save lives.

"A one month delay in taking the steps that we have taken would have adversely impacted our entire economy," he said.
