Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Sunday said that “it is quite clear” that controversial preacher Dr Zakir Naik attempted to incite racial hate by making racially-tinged remarks against Malaysians.

He also said that Zakir had overstepped his privilege as a foreigner with a permanent resident status by issuing political statements, after attending the 2019 World Statistics Congress opening ceremony.
