MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has challenged Teo Nie Ching to explain the situation on the requirement for Unified Examination Certificate or UEC graduates to sit for legal practise exam.

It was reported in June 2018 that the Legal Profession Qualifying Board of Malaysia or the LPQB requires law students who are UEC holders will need to sit for two English A-Level or STPM subjects, even if they have a law degree, before sitting for Certificate of Legal Practice or CLP, starting from year 2021.
