PETRONAS launches country's first private 5G network

PETRONAS has launched a private 5G network to optimise its internal operations, the first of its kind in Malaysia.

The network is currently being used at its PETRONAS Regasification Terminal Sungai Udang (RGTSU) in Melaka.

Speaking at the launch on Friday (Oct 6), Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the deployment of the Petronas 5G Private Network sets the stage for a dynamic partnership between the government, the private sector and academia.
