Perak Sultan accepts Faizal's resignation as MB

The Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah has accepted Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu's resignation as the state's Mentri Besar.

In a press statement issued by the Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja Kol (R) Datuk Abd Rahim Mohamad Nor, he said the resignation of Faizal of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) will take immediate effect on Tuesday.

Sultan Nazrin will now evaluate and consider the names of candidates for the post that had been submitted by Bersatu, Umno and PAS.
