People being scammed on a daily basis as AI videos, images getting more convincing

The public has been warned to stay vigilant against AI-generated videos and images that falsely show royalty, politicians and prominent figures promoting investment schemes.

MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong said increasingly sophisticated scams circulating on social media have caused daily losses, with victims lured by promises of guaranteed returns and losing up to RM100,000.
