Parents must step up to protect children from social ills, says Anwar

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on parents to take greater responsibility for their children's upbringing, warning against leaving the task solely to schools and the government amid growing concerns over drug abuse and other negative social influences.

Speaking after Friday prayers, Anwar said the Cabinet had also discussed mental health and autism, highlighting the need for closer cooperation between families, schools and the government to safeguard children's well-being and development.
