Owners recount panic after viral wolfdog gatecrashes Olympics race

When the Varesco family headed off to watch the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics biathlon event in Anterselva on Feb 18, they left their two-year-old Czechoslovakian wolfdog Nazgul locked in his kennel at home in Tesero.

In their absence, Nazgul became an internet sensation after escaping from the house and wandering onto the nearby venue for the cross-country skiing event.
