Only about 25% of MPs have had mandatory health checks, says Speaker

Only 54 out of 222 Members of Parliament have undergone mandatory health checks, according to Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul on Monday (Oct 9).

Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee (PN-Beluran) then asked why there was a need to get a medical check-up at Parliament when most MPs already did their health checks at the National Heart Institute (IJN) or Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL).
