Online Safety Act to be enforced soon, says Azalina

Malaysia will soon enforce the Online Safety Act 2024 following its full passage through Parliament and Royal Assent.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said on Monday (June 16) that the law will empower authorities to better regulate digital platforms and strengthen protections—especially for children—from online threats and abuse.
