When asked if there a burning rage deep inside after he had been held a political prisoner for more than a decade, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said even though prison was tough and dehumanising, it had taught him not to harbour anger.

The PKR president and Port Dickson MP said that at the Law Asia Conference in Petaling Jaya on Friday, adding that instead, being in prison had allowed him to read a lot of books including the Quran, the works of Wiliam Shakespeare, Sri Aurobindo, Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky and more.
