Deputy Education Minister Teo Nie Ching on Friday said there is no plan to close agencies under the ministry such as the Institutes of Teacher Education (IPG), only overhaul them to boost their efficiency.

Teo was commenting on a report by a news portal that the Education Ministry's agencies are facing the axe in government’s cost-cutting measures.
