The government has stressed that Malaysia does not pay any toll for Petronas vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, dismissing claims circulating on social media.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the matter was presented by Petronas and reviewed during the National Economic Action Council (MTEN) meeting yesterday, which found that the information circulating likely stemmed from public misunderstanding of certain news headlines.
