No “licence to kill” like James Bond, Gopal Sri Ram urges doctors

Lawyer Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram stressed that while the standard of patient care is decided by members of the medical profession and not by lawyers and judges, doctors should continue to be cautious when giving diagnosis and treatment.

Gopal said that in his speech at the M'sia Healthcare conference talk on "Has the law forced doctors to practice defensive medicine?" on Sunday.
