Nilai floods trap vehicles; flood prevention measures underway

Flash floods struck Nilai, including the PLUS Highway near the town, Thursday (March 5) evening, leaving vehicles trapped and motorists stranded.

Negri Sembilan Local Government, Housing, and Transport Committee chairman J. Arul Kumar said the state government has approved upgrades to the Desa Jasmin rainwater retention pond, while the Seremban City Council is enlarging culverts to help prevent future flooding.
