Nigerian student tried to flee during raid, says Immigration

Nigerian student Thomas Orhions Ewansiha was arrested by the Immigration Department because he had tried to flee from its officers during a raid, according to the department.

The July 4 operation at apartments in Desa Aman Puri in Kuala Lumpur led to the arrest of 20 foreigners. Ewansiha died following a seizure in his sleep during his detention at an immigration depot on July 9, said the department.
