NGOs conduct final rites for unclaimed Covid-19 bodies in India

Two nonprofit organisations in India, Just Smile Foundation and Mamdani Health and Education Trust, have been performing the last rituals of unclaimed bodies in Mumbai following a massive surge of Covid-19 infections and high daily records of deaths.

The founder of Just Smile Foundation, Mehul Dinesh Vithalani, spoke to The Star on their efforts in giving the bodies a respectful send off.
