Negri BN support withdrawal made independently, says Zahid

The decision made by the 14 Negri Sembilan Umno assemblymen to retract their support for the state government was made independently, says Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The Deputy Prime Minister said he was informed only after the move was made and that the party would respect the decision taken by its state leadership.

Commenting on a separate offer by five Perikatan Nasional assemblymen to form a new state government, Zahid described them as “opportunists”.
