Nauraj bags gold in Germany

National high jumper Nauraj Singh Randhawa stood tall in Germany after winning his first title this year.

The 30-year-old cleared a jump of 2.22m in the BKK Freudenberg Hochsprung Gala indoor competition in Weinheim on Saturday to emerge as the champion.

He beat Germany’s Wagner Jones and Ukrainian Vadim Kravchuk, who both recorded 2.18m in the competition, but Kravchuk finished third after a countback.
