National Unity Ministry to conduct internal probe into alleged abuse of Mitra funds

The National Unity Ministry will conduct an internal probe into the alleged abuse of the Malaysian Indian Community Transformation Unit (Mitra) funds following investigations by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Its Minister Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique said when wrapping up her ministerial replies on Budget 2022 at the committee stage in Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (Nov 23), adding that there were no plans at the moment to set up a specific committee for the purpose.
