Najib to stay in prison, drops house arrest appeal

Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has abandoned his court appeal to serve the remainder of his six-year sentence at home, according to court documents reviewed by Malay Mail.
His law firm, Shafee & Co, filed a Notice of Discontinuance on April 2, with no reason given, and the Court of Appeal struck out the appeal on April 14.
