Najib’s lawyer: System is not transparent, AMLA charges insignificant

Senior lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, who is representing Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, questioned the recusal of Justice Mohd Sofian Abd Razak, the judge presiding over the criminal cases of the former Prime Minister.

It was reported that Justice Mohd Sofian is the younger brother of an Umno state assemblyman in Pahang.

Following the news report, the Malaysian Bar called for the judge to recuse himself.
