Najib has no role in formation of 1MDB, says lead counsel

Datuk Seri Najib Razak had no role in 1MDB's formation as its precursor Terengganu Investment Authority (TIA) was put forward by the then Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tengku Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin after visiting Abu Dhabi with businessman Low Taek Jho, also known as Jho Low, says Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.

Najib’s lead counsel told reporters that on the first day of the former prime minister taking the stand at his SRC International Sdn Bhd trial on Tuesday (Dec 3).
