Najib had no control over SRC funds, defence lawyer submits

Datuk Seri Najib Razak had no control over SRC International funds and thus should not be held liable under criminal breach of trust (CBT) law, the former premier's counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah told reporters on Wednesday.

As such, he said Najib should not be called to enter his defence merely to satisfy the prosecution's curiosity.
