Najib: Govt must introduce SST by Sept 1

Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak told reporters at the Parliament lobby on Monday that the Government must re-introduce the Sales and Services Tax (SST) on September 1 as promised or face the serious implications of shortfall in revenue. The Pekan MP added that the government would lose at least RM43bil in annual revenue due to the removal of GST, which was zero-rated beginning June 1.
