Najib completes nine-hour marathon trial on judgment day, gets 12 years in jail

The trial of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, which started at 10am on Tuesday, ended in a nine-hour marathon.

He stepped out of the courtroom at 7.30pm after being sentenced to 12 years in jail for criminal breach of trust, money laundering and abuse of power charges in the Kuala Lumpur High Court, involving money from former 1MDB unit SRC International.
