NADMA: Stop stockpiling, prepare sensibly for Monsoon

Published on 30 Oct 2026 6:19:16 PM

The National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) has urged the public not to panic-buy or excessively stockpile food ahead of the 2026/2027 Northeast Monsoon, advising households to prepare responsibly according to their needs.

NADMA director-general Datuk Meor Ismail Meor Akim warned that unverified information circulating on social media could trigger panic buying, potentially causing unnecessary shortages and supply disruptions.
