Myanmar willing to accept repatriation of nationals in large numbers at own expense, says Anwar

Myanmar is prepared to facilitate the large-scale repatriation of its nationals from Malaysia and bear the associated costs, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Speaking at a joint press conference together with Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing on Thursday (Oct 8), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said more than 10,493 Myanmar nationals and personnel have already been repatriated, with another 3,000 to 4,000 at immigration depots expected to return after nationality and records are verified.
