Muralists heartbroken over ‘Covid-19 heroes’ vandalism, vow to keep on painting

The artists who painted the ‘Covid-19 heroes’ murals said they were heartbroken and disillusioned that the portraits on the wall of a row of shophouses in Section U12, Taman Cahaya Alam were defaced, but vowed to keep on painting.

Muhammad Suhaimi Ali, Muhamad Firdaus Nordin and Abdul Hadi Ramli painted the murals that received a stream of visitors including the subjects of the portraits themselves, such as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
