Muhyiddin: Sedition Act can still be used until tabled in Parliament

Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that the Sedition Act 1948 will continue to be used until the law is repealed.

However, he said the use of the act will depend on the discretion of the authorities in handling critical issues.

The Home Minister earlier attended the 229th Prison Day celebration themed “Prison Reformation for Community Wellbeing” at the Malaysia Prisons College in Selangor.
