National para shot putter Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli, who won the gold medal in the F20 shot put event at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016, said he is feeling more confident with his throws after consistently recording a distance of over 16m in competitions and training recently.

He said he hoped to rewrite his world record of 16.84m at the Tokyo Paralympic Games this summer. He received his Covid-19 vaccine at the Desa Tasik Sports Complex in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
