MPs question Azalina's temporary Deputy Speaker duties, citing possible conflict of interest

Several MPs on Tuesday questioned Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said's temporary stint as Deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker, saying that it is in conflict of interest since Azalina has been appointed as the Prime Minister's law and human rights adviser.

In her response, Azalina noted that her position was based on Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun's invitation, and advised the MPs to take up the issue with Azhar.
