Moments of evacuation from American Airlines plane tyre fire

Passengers were seen evacuating from an American Airlines plane on the runway of Denver International Airport in the United States on July 26 as smoke billowed from the belly of the aircraft.

American Airlines told Reuters that Flight AA3023 experienced "a mechanical issue on take off roll that involved an "aircraft tyre".

There were 173 passengers and six crew members on board the plane which had been sent for maintenance, and six of them were given medical treatment.
