Michael Chong warns against dubious cosmetic surgery promoted on social media

People seeking cosmetic procedures are urged to use only certified local medical centres after another victim was left needing corrective laser surgery following arm liposuction performed at an unverified centre.

MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong said the victim was drawn in by an influencer’s promotion, paid RM39,000 for the procedure, and felt pressured to proceed despite being unable to verify the surgeon’s credentials.
