Parti Bersama Malaysia proposes returning 5% of Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections to state governments to reduce their reliance on federal allocations and land reclamation for revenue, says Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli.

Launching the party’s Melaka state election manifesto in Batu Berendam on Monday (Oct 2), the former economy minister said Bersama also pledged to freeze all sea reclamation approvals, diversify Melaka’s economy, allocate at least 30% of state operating expenditure to people-centric programmes and introduce a RM500 annual health card for households earning below RM4,000 in net disposable income monthly.

The party also proposed seven additional assemblymen allocated according to parties’ share of the state election vote, as well as appointing independent professionals to state tender boards for projects worth more than RM10mil.
